    Hi Lads,
I have Perlico BB. I have a strict NAT which is really bugging me now as I keep getting kicked from games/lobbies.

My question is this : Does anyone know what Perlico's DNS settings are ?
I have scoured the net for them to no avail and Perlico's suppoort is not great.

Someone must have set up a static ip on their pc in order to port forward for xbox live.

    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Clive

What router are you using ?

Ring them up , get your username and password , your ip addy.

Type in your ip addy in the address bar , enter in your username and password go to advanced settings and change your nat.

    Hi Sham,
I have all those details, my router is a Zyxel P-660HW-T1v2.
There is no option to change my nat. I have turned off the firewall in the router and its still strict on Live.
I think I need to set up a static ip but I need perlico's dns settings to do it.
I thought someone in here may have managed to change their Live Nat to moderate or open with a similar setup to mine, I'll giver Perlico a ring tomorrow but I wont be holding my breath as I hear their support is shiiiite.

    Hi Sierra,
Did you have to set up your pc with a static ip address first (to make sure the internet still worked) ?
Thats my problem you see, in order to port forward I need to set up my pc with a static ip address. In order to make sure the internet works on my pc I need the perlico dns settings.

Alright Palski, just did a browse through Perlico's FAQ's.

    http://www.perlico.com/support/broadband/faqs.aspx#consoles

"Broadband is a residential product for use by a single user on a single machine. You are provided with a single IP address and we will not support a network"

Basically they don't support home networks i.e. any other device apart from your PC, e.g. XBox for online gaming, so getting their help to debug it could be difficult. I've dealt with them in the past through work, their support is poor. It's worth giving them a call anyway and you could find a techie who may be able to help, even unofficially.

The problem could be router related (probably the most likely). You could try an alternate router, again they ONLY support the router they supply but the do give some basic instructions about how to configure an alternate router.

    http://www.perlico.com/support/broadband/otherroutersetup.aspx

I should have a spare Netgear Router at home, your welcome to it. I can call over and we can give it a go. Let me know what you think.

One of our users has Perlico BB at home and he can't use our SSL VPN, work's fine from same laptop using his O2 3G BB card. Perlico had no clue even where to start debugging.

Make sure you try it with a router, not a switch!

nah it allows me to open a range of ips on the same ports . so i open enough ips to cover all my devices then open the ports i need to work in . and all is well
