    Hi lads,

    Anyone any idea how I can get this fixed? It's a mk v golf. 3dr drivers side seat

    You could try bringing it to an upholsterer or even a tailor - you would have to inquire how they would fix it - patch it up or replace the entire bolster cover section.

    Another alternative would be to get a donor seat and take what you need off it.

    My car seat has a tear aswell in the same place as yours. Only mine is much worse as a whole bit of the upholstery is torn off.

    But right now that's the least of my problems with the car. Sometime later I might look into patching it up or maybe find a donor seat or just throw a seat cover on it...

    Silage tape does wonders for that.

    Tis what Im using until I can get around to fixing it :p
    A very annoying problem though.

    It is possible to buy replacement upholstery for seats from the main dealer and fit them. I've done it a few times with great success but mostly on BMW's. You need the trim code to be sure to get the right colour and as its a new one it will still be slightly different to all the others which have faded. they also can be quite expensive €+/- 250 and costly to fit if you don't do it yourself.
