Multiple LNBs on single satellite dish

    Hi.

I currently have sky digital in my home and have a satellite dish erected on my chimney with one 4output LNB. However, I am thinking of switching to sky+ but would require a 5 or > output LNB (as sky+ takes 2 inputs). I can get my hands on a 6 output LNB but it will set me back near 30 euros. Instead, I have a spare 2 output LNB in a box in the spare room of my house and am wondering if I can have the 4 output LNB AND the 2 output LNB on the same dish on my chimney. (with both LNBs set up to pick up the astra satellite that sky transmits through).

Can this be done? And if so, how? - that is how can there be 2 lnbs when there is only one hole in the plastic bar attached to the dish for 1 lnb to sit into. Im assuming that you would need to get an 'extension multi lnb' bar of some sort that would sit into that one hole and provide for multiple lnbs.
    would this be correct?

thanks, in advance, for reading/replying to my query.

    JM

Your idea isn't feasible as the LNB needs to be 'centred' when using the dish for 1 satellite...... the 'Multiple LNB systems are used to capture Different Satellites' at 'Different positions'...
(Sky) Octo lnb's are around 16,00 euros on ebay.ie and would swap pretty easily.

Or buy a multiswitch that accepts a Quad or Quattro. That will give 16 outlets and is expandable to over 1000.
