Cars you think who's value is only going to go up in the future.

From the supercars I can definitely put my money on the Bugatti Veyron and the Ferrari 599 GTO.

So any other cars you can think of which could possibly go down in automation history books of the future as classics...?

probable going to get blown out of the water for this.
dc2 integra type r. im not talking ur usual boy racer rubbish but a bog standard mint example. dont believe any car in todays showrooms can offer the same reliability plus performance for so little cash.
with a 0 - 60 of 6.2 secs etc i think if a clean example could be found now and stored (newest example i know of is 10 years old) a few quid could be made on this. discuss.

Cars you think who's value is only going to go up in the future.

Any petrol/diesel driven car that survives the end of fossil fuels by more than 10 years :D

(provided you bunkered some petrol/diesel with it)

    Focus Rs/Cosworth
    92 Legacy twin turbo
    BMW's individual range
    New Fiat 500's
    Range Rover
All rovers if they last the pace !!

Honestly can't see mk1 mondeo reaching classic status, maybe mk1 focus, tho I do agree especialy with the mx5 and rx7. Rx7 will probably be last proper rotary engined car if mazda's next gen rotary is not an improvement on the last.

    Also,
    Lotus Elise
    Alfa 8c
    Audi RS4
    Rover 75 V8?

I can see the Alfa 8C Competizione definitely going up in value over the years.
Probably also the Alfa Brera might start going up in value once it stops depreciating like a meteor!

    - Some of the last MG-badged Rovers (the 75 in particular)
    - Mk1 Audi TT (give it about another 20yrs)
-Original VW Scirocco (currently obtaining cult status)
-ANYTHING with a pre-1987 Irish number plate: check boards' classic car forum to see what I mean :)

You'll be ok round these parts, two of the motoring mods drive fairly standard DC2's :pac:

    RX8
Distinctive looks, and very unusual mechanics and driving characteristics. EuroV emission standards means that it will probably be the last mass produced wankel engine.

Rovers with the Honda engines...618, 620, 623 (beautiful looking cars),
    MG branded Rovers,
Peugeot 406 ( probably because it starred in differant films, "Ronin" "Taxi" )
All BMW's in some shape or form,
    Nissan Bluebirds,
Ford Escort convertibles, (junk now but I can see people going nuts for them in 10 years time),
Ford Sierras & Granadas of late,
Toyota MR2's & Celeicas of the mid 90's,

The Rover 600 ti had a Rover t series turbo engine, standard ones in good condition go for under a grand in the UK at the mo, they are however becoming very rare and are now depreciation free. I can't see a Honda engined 600 ever becoming a classic to be honest. And I have a particular fondness for the Honda ones having sold one for €1200 more than what I paid for it 6 months previously.

I reckon the Focus ST fits the OPs criteria quite well, they're never going to become dirt cheap either. Also if someone had an empty garage I think throwing a Volvo 850T5 in there for 20 years may well be a good investment.

Merc 320/500 SL?...a few for sale at the moment for under €8k,merc coupes&convertibles nearly alway make classics

BMW 8-series! They're as old as 21 at this stage, having been first produced in 1989 and yet I still love the look of them! You can pick them up relatively cheap on carzone and it just looks so good! Definitely a future classic.

I have my Dads old Rover 600 in the garage for the past few years, for sentimental reasons I have kept it there. I'd day it will reach some sort of classic status in the future.

One of the few recent cars that I honesltly believe will go down as a classsic in years to come. The only thing that will hamper that is how many of them are going around modified beyond recognition or just generally driven into the ground.

Am I alone in thinking that there are very few cars nowadays that will be considered classics in years to come? Most cars these days are just bland, mass produced unattractive cars that for me will not live long in the memory. Even cars that are considered to be stand out these days dont at all compare to those from years ago. I dunno, maybe its just me, and Im not saying all cars are like this, but I just dont see many cars nowadays that I look at and think "thats going to be a classic in a few years".
