20 litre oil drum the round plastic type was what i used for years, you can bolt two old car seat belts on for straps like a rucksack

Dunnes used to sell cheap fold up stools, something like €5 or €8. Drum idea is cheaper mind, and doubles as a pack.

Those fold up seats are bastards for breaking, I use an army ammunition box that I carry my cartridges in.

I use one of these fold up chairs - great back support & come in carrying sleeve cover which loops over your shoulder when walking.

go and see your local garage/agri supply place etc there are thousands of them about , the plastic ones with a lip on the top are best you can cut a piece of foam to fit in the top, or do as one of my friends did he found a slightly bigger diameter drum and cut a 4" piece of the bottom of it that then sat over the top of the drum and it acted like a swivel when he moved worked well those three legged stools are fine if the ground is firm , if its not the legs sink

i like a bit of back support , 8 hours sitting in a 3 legged stool is not my idea of fun .

I bought one of those at the shanes game fair earlier this year, Can't wait to use it out on the ducks in the estuary as a normal seat would sink in the ground.

I have an old 25 litre coolant drum (metal) which has a pressed fit lid
which can be removed, cut a piece of 3/4 ply into a circle to fit the lid
get an old bit of foam and leather or some other material from an old sofa
etc, put the foam on top of the wood and wrap it up in the leather and
staple in to the wood then put the wood on to the lid and stick a few screws in it from the back get some paint (army green) in a local motor factors and spray it up and not only have you got camo seat but you can
carry a few bit's in it as well... have a few pics below>>>>
