    hi all,

my daughter is thinking about upgrading her car to an audi A3 ( 2000-2003) and i'am just wondering what are they like for reliability. I have read somewhere ( quiet a lot really) about the Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) issues and was wondering if this only affects automatics or does it also affect manual gearbox's as well.

look forward to hearing what you all think

From what I've read here, vibration is a bad sign....

None really, as soon as the vibration / knocking starts the DMF is more or less stuffed. Before then there is no signs.
