    just go Sky News (501)
    press red
    Wait for interactive to load
    pull out card
    press backup and ignore error message(s)

    In less than a minute you will have UK EPG
    101 = BBC
    103 = ITV

    just stick card in when you want a pay Channel or RTE=101

    The question was will they be ever on Sky Ireland and the answer is no, what you've said is all well and good but taking the card out and going through all that is not what he wanted to know.

    Also by taking out the card with this awkward workaround you can not record the channels in question.

    It's been discussed many times.

    BBC & ITV can't and won't pay for carriage on Sky Ireland EPG. That's not going to change.

    Sky will only pay BBC, ITV etc for right to promote them in Ireland and on Irish EPG to the extent that it financially worth while. They pay BBC to have BBC NI on EPG. The other channels are not worth while for Sky (cost vs income).

    Nothing is likely to change.

    If you want to record UK TV, then get a Freesat HD PVR. Add it to your dish. You can have Sky+ also.

    Well we got BBC HD recently on our EPG so there's hope.

    Maybe if ITV go paid we might get ITV HD over here.

    Read an article in the press during the week, that ITV is suffering from a big drop in advertising revenue are considering making their HD channel a subscription service, so if there's money changing hands, then there's a possibility it might yet appear on the irish EPG.

    Heaven forbid some extra information might be given. Watty, be ashamed of yourself.
