US to charge $14 for ESTA from Sept 08th

    The United States is to charge travellers a $14 fee for the ESTA pre-authorization to travel on the Visa Waiver Programme from the 08 of September. The ESTA is valid for 2 years and does not guarantee entry to the United States.

    So it now gets that little bit harder to get into the US even for a holiday. Soon this will be $20 knowing the communists they have in government over there now.

    Hi all,
    Signed up for this before the 8th but heard nothing back since? I did get a reference number. Anyone else signed up? You heard anything?

    You're not supposed to hear anything back, once you update your flight details and arrangements they will see it at immigrations.

    You don't hear anything back from the ESTA application. The desicion is given to you on the site itself, and you can check the result there using the number you were given during the application
