Is there any place where I could earn FETAC Level 5 Information Technology(CITXX) cert without a requirement to have a Leaving cert?

    Thanks

Nope, I did that course last year and you need to pass the LC to gain entry

Are you a mature student? and the requirements are different in different PLC, what you have to do is to visit many of the college of Further Education, you may be lucky to have a place.

It depends on what you have already completed. However I would suggest that it is very late to be considering applying to PLC colleges for places this year as the majority, while they may be interviewing, are over subscribed so dont get your hopes up. Check out your local VEC as well and see what career options are available via the Adult Ed Guidance service if you fall into this category of applicant.

    Check out: http://www.citizensinformation.ie/categories/education/adult-and-life-long-education/adult-education

Check with the Adult Guidance Service in your local VEC to see what they have on offer. You may be able to take modules at FETAC Level 4 and/or 5 that will help you build credits towards the course you are interested in.

Many PLCs will look favourably on applicants who have completed modules at Levels 4 and/or 5.

    Cheers

If you are in the West of Ireland (Roscommon) or are willing to move, the college I work in offers it. I am the PLC Co-ordinator for the course so if you want more details PM me. Students do not have to have a LC as a requirement for course entry.

Further Education/PLC Colleges set their own entry requirements. Many of the more popular /over subscribed colleges can afford to stipulate LC is a requirement. Not all colleges do that.
