I am looking for a good one if anyone has experience with this.

There is plenty of them on eBay, so much, that I have no idea what to pick up...

Any help on a particular model or vendor much appreciated.

    Thanks

I assume you want to pick up the Irish terrestrial digital broadcast?
If so, your TV needs to have a digital tuner and the TV needs to be MPEG4 capable. If that's the case, then if you're in a very good signal area your aerial that you have will probably do.

Yes thats what i want to pick up, im not sure if it has digital tuner the stereo doesnt have a make or model on it to check, it does say mpeg4 on the monitor, i was parked in the rte carpark one time and even the signal wasnt very clear there. My main reason for wanting to change antenna, come october 2012 im guessing the antenna i have will become obsolete.

Be carful, MPEG4 could just be for a compressed video file via SD/USB and its DVB-T circuitry might only be MPEG2.

Make 100% sure you are picking RTE via the DVB-T and not the analogue. If its analogue the image will go fuzzy/snowy when you drive. DVB-T will simply freeze or go completely blank.
