Having trouble updating Iphone 4

    Got my new iPhone 4 last friday and have been struggling to download the software (version 4.0.1)

    Keep getting the following message when the software has reached 99% downloaded!

    There was a problem downloading the software for the Iphone "My iPhone" The network connection timed out

    Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later

    As far as im aware the network settings are correct and I connected to the network! have been trying to download this for a week now!

    Any help is much appreciated

    I had the same problem.

    I fixed it by clicking download only rather than update.

    After it finishes do download you can update.

    had this problem a fwe time

    makes sure your not doing it on wireless connection

    plug pc/mac into modem... it worked for me
    and i had that problem loads of times.. ring apple and they will sort it if wont sort it using a plugged in modem
