Desire and PS3 (or other such device)?

I hooked up my desire to my PS3. I wanted to view photos and videos with a big screen. However, only 8 photos came up on the PS3 and no (camcorder) videos. Anyone any idea as to why the PS3 is not showing all my photos and no videos. Also all my music wouldn't play. Thanks guys.
