metro were not publishing this week. this is the first time they've done it and is a cost saving measure because this week is normally the slowest of the year in both circulation and advertising. the chicks will be back next week ;)

I was wondering about that. Usually there's a bunch in the staff room when I'm having my break, but there was none this week. Good to know I'll be able to catch up with Nemi from Monday.

Got a train this morning from my home town.
Was first on. The second person on was a train staff member who immediately proceeded to do a clean up.
This included ALL newspapers that were on it and left behind by preceding leaving passengers.
(Same happened last week and the week before)

Is there also a possibility that management somewhere has issued orders that the newspapers are to be binned as soon as possible by staff?

    Just asking.

I dont imagine the publishers of the publication in question appreciate the readership demographics into which they seem to making inroads

Ya, I've noticed this myself. I've taken to writing the contents of the Breaking News bar from Sky News on the back of my arm and reading it on the Luas instead

Yeah it was funny alrite, between that and they were giving out about their dealer ringing on too many phones and they couldnt contact him, was also funny when the inspectors got on and they tried to plead with the bloke to let them stay and they had a bus pass but lost it , they got kicked off on the next stop lol
