    Hi Folks,

anyone know if there are ready made boxing material for pipes an where I could get it? I am in Galway. If not, anyone ever use the stuff the electricians use for hiding cables along the wall( when they put sockets into it) Its white plastic boxing.

    Grateful for all help.

ya the stuff the electricians use will fit around the pipe but you may have problems if theres compression fittings as these take up a bit more space than the pipe work itself.

Go to any electrical wholesalers and ask for self adhesive conduit. That's what you're after. Just depends on the dimensions that you want.

    thanks for help folks,

there are half inch copper pipes running from ceiling to floor in the hall beside the front door. In fact all the rooms are like that but the hall is the first one I am tackling as its the most visible and ugly.

Two 2X1 batons, and plasterboard on top

Dependin on how close together they are, then either one or two lengths of 25*16 self adhesive conduit would do the trick

IMO +1 : u can cover pb with lining paper and paint so no need to have it skimmed

The pvc ducting in my view will look 'bruhal'

In addition if pipes are close to/fixed to wall getting the self-adhesive ducting in behind is fine in theory but wont be so in practice

Yeah, if it was me i'd be boxing them with batons and plasterboard too. Much easier imo
