Current Shaving Kit - What to change?

    Hi guys,

I was hoping to get some advice on my shaving kit. Seeing as I haven't tried many different things I was hoping to get some advice.

Razor - Merkur Futur - happy with this
Blades - Derby Extra - happy with these

Brush - Wilkinson Brush from Boots or Argos
    Soap - Wilkinson Sword Soap
    Post-Shave - Nivea Sensitive Balm

I'm happy with the razor and blades but was hoping to change the accessories a bit, different soaps/creams. Btw my skin would be prone to rash from the likes of a Mach3 and I can get a few spots every so often.

    Thanks

Have a look at a quality badger brush and some shaving creams as an alternative. Depending on your budget there are numerous options. Prorasso cream is cheap but effective, Taylors of Old Bond St is another good cream (avocado gets my vote) or if you fancy a top end cream try DR Harris (almond smells great).

A nice kent or Simpsons badger brush and try some creams such as Proraso, Trumpers or TOBS, although I'm using Erasmic at the moment which is good and cheap.

Dont use balm myself, just rinse with loads of cold water.

Definitely the soap...Wilkinson has to be the worst soap I have ever come across...lousy lather and the Lynx-esque smell..:(

Try a Palmolive shaving stick, less than a euro - great soap.

Personally I recommend the best soap in the world - Tabac - though not everyone likes the scent.
