anyone go there before and if so from experience what kind
of stuff is on sale? and does it get sold for good prices or is it the
type of event where everything is being sold extortionately high.

Have no interest in uniforms or medals, wondering if there would be
stalls selling the likes of Trench Art, Brass , field kit

I never made it down and would have LOVED to have gone.
It would have even been within walking distance even if I had
managed to get the bus down to Cork

Was looking at the location through google earth and the place looked awsome.

If anyone has pics from the day please post them! or if
there was any cool stuff on sale on the day's I'd love to know
    what was up for grabs!

Was that taken before or after one of your team accidentally shot someone?

I would advise yot to delete your comment. I was the only one fired an AEG it was to clear it after rememoving the mag. I fired 2/3 shots into the grass directly in front of me, which was the other side of the wall to where ye were standing. How did one of ye get hit? Myabe look closer to home? Its easy post things like that behind an anonymous user name, can sort it out properly if your capable.....

Before anyone asks why i had mag and battery in was because we were asked to do a little run through scenario during the show.

ok before this thread goes completely off the wall, maybe something a little constructive

ok been to a few shows know and there seems to be recurring issue within the airsoft community

    1) your on a stage so your behaviour needs to be exemplary, your representing the community in front of the general public who may not know anything about airsoft and in front of other communitys ( e.g reanactors and real steel shooters ) who tbh have in the past had a very negative image of airsoft in general. Use events as an opportunity to show people that there fears are unfounded and there past negative experiences do not reflect the vast majority of airsofters.

2)Do not walk around with battery's in your aegs or gas in your gbb. In general people will want to look at the rifs and the first thing they will do is pull the trigger.

2a)A follow on to 2, promote best practice for handling rifs and firearms, prompt people to not point rifs at other people ( kids in particular have a habit of wanting to point the barrel at there parents head i;ve found ) and always treat them as loaded, as i said it is good practice and is promoting responsible behaviour.

2b)The only time a battery should be in an aeg is at a designated pre-defined range that has been sectioned off or on a pre arranged gaming area that has been sectioned/screened off. If your asked to put on a demonstration, there is no need to use batterys and bb. Demonstrate do not play, get together and arrange a small script that shows aspects of the hobby but under no circumstances is there a need to shot bbs unless your using a screened off game area where insurance has been obtained.

just a few points and only my thoughts, events are a great opportunity but also they come with risk and the opportunity to go very very wrong and have a negative impact on airsoft, use common sense

Just to be clear I am only representing myself. My opinions do not reflect those of the club or team of which I am a part.

Someone down where you were standing let off a shot while his AEG was cradled across his chest and hit me in the shoulder. The reason I flew off the handle at you was if he was facing the other way that shot would have gone into the crowd and that could have been the end if airsoft for everyone. I know it wasn't one of the group I was with because they were behind me (and I don't think any of them has a Portal gun).

A bit more common sense when you're representing the sport as a whole and not just yourselves isn't too much to ask.

dont see why this comment was posted, it seems like a "get back" or "put down" and is only one of a series of comments made by a few from another team. and visiting players who come into contact with these people on another site have also informed us of things being said, and this also is not good for Airsoft in Ireland. As evade said it was an Accident, it was a fluke ricochet while clearing the weapon. which can happen on a site or anywhere. it doesn't warrant a comment like that and not on a public forum. its amazing how these people forget they are not innocent themselves with accidental or on purpose discharge of an AEG, i was one of those who was hit by a so called accidental discharge before, bit did not go posting it on a forum trying to tarnish the name of another team, we as a team would not lower ourselves to point out the team or post what they did on a public forum, we have more respect for the sport and how it is seen by the public. this team has other issues, and its not the fact that one BB hit someone.. if it continues WD's 40 members will be bycotting sites and events accociated with that team. this is not what we want, slandering other teams or players in public just is not right... and that includes posts on there facebook page or talking to other people, its just school yard tactics.. and only damages the team or person saying it in the end.

Puding i agree with you completely, before any shows / festivals everyone who will be there is sent a safety note by email or txt concerning battery, gas and bbs in the weapons, 203's and grenades are also checked and they are also checked before they go on display. and one of the main things we talk to people about is the safety of Airsoft. the person who fired the accidental shot has been spoken too. and it was not the guy holding an aeg across his chest, so you really dont know where the shot came from.. i was told all about it as soon as they got back. and the person that did fire has been reprimanded even thought it was accident and now has to learn word for word our safety rules. we do take this serious...in future email us with details. Whiskey delta has nothing more to say here on this matter.
