how could you think this , have you ever driven from dublin to donegal , can you imagine not having a motorway , how can you expect a man so valuble to this country as the esteemed minster to take such a risk .its just crazy that he had to fly by private jet without an airforce escort , we should buy 4 f16s for this his plane could been hijacked and our wonderful minster kidnapped by some african country looking to benifit from his increadble ability !

He is retarded to have done what he did but I still think Mary Harny is the most $%$^&% on the planet.

She got that fcuking jet over to America (on an "official" [HAHAHA] visit) where she travelled to different states(all by limo) and stayed in 5 star hotels that made the Ritz look like a shed.

She had $1000 dinners, not counting drinks, to stuff her face while back in Ireland single mothers where pleading in Social welfare Q's as they didn't have enough money to feed there child/children.

She then went to the Superbowl and sat in seats that cost $700-900.

On returning to Ireland she insisted that it was all official business she was on.....

I'm not joking when I say that I instantly become pissed off when I see her face.

Seats is right, she would at least need two. So that was $1400-1800. Wasn't her boyfriend also with her on that trip? Make that 3 seats

My only objection to Dempsey taking the government jet is that flying is statistically safer than driving.

Why does the Irish government have a jet??

    The facts are........
He needed the Garda driver for security reasons as he was driving from Derry to Donegal.
He had a top secret meeting on aviation in London to attend.
He had a very important summer school in Donegal to attend, then go back to London to attend his top secret meeting on Aviation.
You get a much better picture of the infrastructure of the country from the air.
He is not dressed in blue underwear with a red cape you know.

If that's a reference to some sort of Masonic group then fair enough, but Superman doesn't wear those colours.

To give the Air Corp something to do.

    OK....let me get this straight

His story is that he "couldn't get there in time", but his driver got there in time to act as security ?

Must be some security check at Derry Airport!

Driver was probably dispatched earlier to be ready.

    this is the best bit

"He is security for me. I was going into Northern Ireland, but even if I was going to Kerry somebody would have to be there for me," he said.

Takes a lot more fuel to get Mary Harney in the air.

You would imagine that she would already have enough gas in her to make her airborne.

I understand that she only went, thinking there was going to be a giant bowl full of free food, and was really pissed off to find that it was an American football event.

Thousands of people go on business trips from Ireland to the Uk every day by driving themselves (or getting the bus) to the airport and getting on a Ryanair flight yet Dempsey 'needs' a driver to meet him off a plane?? WTF. Why the hell does that gob****e need a driver?

I'm not joking when I say that I instantly become pissed off when I see her face.

Some slight mistakes in your post. It wasn't the Irish jet she took to the states, there's no way that would be safe. Instead, a Russian Antanov AN-225 was requested in to handle the journey.
The An-225 is commercially available for flying over-sized payloads due to the unique size of its cargo deck
    See here

Secondly, here "starters" were $1000, not the main courses' - so expensive, they were estimated to have been responsible for the upturn in beef shares that month.

Her Superbowl seats only cost that much becasuse she needed four seats to park her bulk on, sitting on one seat would be akin to sitting on a bike with no saddle to our dear Minister for Health.

Finally, she WAS on official business. Travelling 1st class everywhere, Presidential quality accomodation, lavish food/banquets, Medieval levels of alchohol, willful wasting of huge sums of tax-payers money for her own personal enjoyment....that IS official behaviour for an Irish government man. Cut her some slack.
