Ipod music dock

Hi, I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the forums and I'm not sure if this in the right place.

I'm looking for recommendations for an ipod speaker dock as my creative zen speakers are dying a sad death (I got them in 2005). I don't understand when it says sound output, like 40 watt etc. Some expensive speakers are listed as having only 6W output while others would have 8W. I'm confused as to what I should be looking for in a dock. I want decent quality sound, my zen speakers didn't really deliver on that.

I might move this to the apple media devices forum as the subject might suit that forum better.

Before I do that, is it an ipod or a zen that you have?

You also might want to do a bit of googling for speaker dock reviews to get your foot in the door.

It's an ipod. I was originally going to put it there but I wasn't sure.

I have googled a few actually, but I'm interested to see what the boardsies recommend/use. And what they have to say about the sound output wattage.
