ITunes folder issue

Hey Guys.. Sorry if this is not in the right place.. I have an issue with my Itunes folder and itunes library. I feel as if there is a load of music in my iTunes folders thats not on my iTunes.. For example. My music folder is 103 gig and in iTunes it says I have 88 gig of music.. That is not including podcasts and stuff..…

Hey Guys.. Sorry if this is not in the right place.. I have an issue with my Itunes folder and itunes library. I feel as if there is a load of music in my iTunes folders thats not on my iTunes.. For example. My music folder is 103 gig and in iTunes it says I have 88 gig of music.. That is not including podcasts and stuff.. I do know that some of that space could be album art etc. but it can't be that much surely.. Is it a matter of deleting all stuff of itunes and importing again.. Will I lose playlists and the likes? Also stuff i've renamed?
