    Hi all,

This bulb is installed in my bathroom but it stopped working. There is black on the bulb so I presume it is blown.

Does anyone know what the type of bulb is called?
    Are they expensive?
To take the bulb out is it just pull it out and push the other one in?

    Thanks for any help/advice.

    2d 16watt

    could be 2-pin(internal starter type)

you'll know when you take it out

it has a switch start choke/ballast so i too think its a 2pin. afaik the 4 pin is used with electronic ballasts.

2-pin bulb needs a magnetic ballast only

4-pin bulb works with magnetic ballast +starter

    or electronic ballast

2D 16 Watt Compact Fluorescent Lamp. You won't know if it is 2 pin or 4 pin until you pull it out. just grab it in he centre and pull. Be careful where you purchase it some places charge up to €15 but you should be able to get one for around €6.
