Anyone else STILL waiting on repeat exam dates?

I missed an exam in Jan and have to sit it in Aug/Sept but even though I sorted out payment I'm still waiting to be told when it is. The worst part is I've loads going on in the 2 weeks that it is due to be in so I'd really like to know exactly when it is.

I know a lad from Aungier St. who got his date and was able to then book his flight to Portugal for that evening.
Sucks not knowing.

I failed an exam in January and haven't been told whether I have to repeat it or not.

I'm in Aungier St and have to do a repeat exam too but I haven't heard a word about dates either. It's actually so rediculous, I've tried ringing the exam office during their opening times so many times to get no answer. It's actually beyond a joke, so frustrating!

I don't know how they're getting away with it. Provisional repeat exam dates should've been drawn up whenever the provisional results were out. The cut back on staff is no excuse for a delay this long. Shouldn't exams usually start this month in about a week or two? I pity those living outside Dublin who are left waiting.

I don't need to repeat but I know two people in Kevin St. that do and they haven't heard anything yet. I missed a funeral when doing my exams just because I couldn't afford to wait for months to do an exam and hold back my much needed grant for months like last year.

I have to repeat as well. Bit of a joke really, and the student e-mail is down.

I finally got the dates for my repeats in the post today. But it is still an absolute joke that they weren't sent out till now. DIT really need to stop messing around when it comes to things like this most people I know in other colleges got theirs long before now.

Got my dates by post this morning too.What happens if you fail a repeat ? I've one that I still can't see myself passing so am wondering what the procedure is ? do you keep carrying it on into the next repeat session ?

I didn't miss a funeral and missed an exam last Jan, that is why I'm waiting to find out the story here. I've a wedding and a gig in early Sept I really don't want this exam to clash with. It's impossible to make any kind of plan.

I missed an exam in Jan too and I just found out today that it is on the 6th of Sept.

That is the Monday after electric picnic. :mad:
