Does anyone know what travel vaccines if any are required for South America? And how far in advance must these be gotten?
    Thanks

it really depends where you're going even in South America. Your GP should be able to tell you. try to shop around for vaccination prices as some places can be frightfully more expensive and try to sell you everything. I didn't get rabies shots becasue it really only gives you a few more hours to get to a hospital so just stay away from frothing dogs (if any). make sure and get proof that you got certain shots because some countries may not let you in without it eg. crossing from Bolivia to Brazil you need proof of yellow fever if i remember correcty.
