Noisy TRVs?

I had some TRVs fitted recently and I haven't had the heating on much since but gave it a run last night.

I noticed a distinct hissing sound from one or two of them.

Has anyone ever had this - could it be faulty or is it something that happens as they close.

The fitter used "Orkli" branded TRVs.

Please don't tell me they're duff.

I'm hoping the hissing is just "breaking them in".

You could try opening up the ones that are making noise and see if it makes any difference.

I had the same thing in mine when I had them turned down low. Got my plumber to check them and he said that they were fine. After a bit of use, the noise stopped, so yours should stop too.
