Securing an iP4 in the post

    My mate forgot his IP4 and I need to post it to him in Germany.

    Is there any way I can lock this up with some code only known to my mate so if it does go AWOL in the post it would be useless to the thief?

    I intend sending with registered post. however the max insurance value to germany is €150

    The phone is sim free open to all networks. Not jailbroken & not software unlocked.

    Do not use an post. I sent a nokia 5800 with them last year to the uk. Phone went missing, they refused to cover it by insurance despite the fact I requested it at the post office.

    Send via courier. Much safer!
