Might be handy for people to post where they know for sure there is a BioDiesel seller and/or what vehicle they run it in.

I would have said Royal BioFuels in Athboy, but everytime I go past they shutters are down and they arent answering their phone. I may be just out of their operating ours, hope they didnt shut down. :(

There is a crowd that supply it in the Kerry region but ive mislaid their contact details. He is normally around in a 92 Toyota Landcruiser. I think it was 70 odd cent per litre.

Wondering if the biodiesel made by the suppliers is tested to spec thou. As i know certain cars can take biodiesel provided they conform to some DIN spec.

It is if they say it is. The Royal BioFuels biodiesel was/is sold as EN14214 compliant and fully taxed.

Note really sure about the Topaz and Texaco stations in that list TBH, most dont list a price and the ones that do are very close to Diesel. I dont count premixed lower % (ie B5) as truely BioDiesel (Applegreen already do that as standard).

There's a big crowd in Adamstown in wexford that supply Biodiesel to NVD Vehicle distribution, they're running their lorries on the stuff for years....The lorries have the proper kits fitted for cold starting etc. Smells lovely when they drive by...like chips after the pub !!!

Most older GreatGas stations have pumps marked as PPO - Camolin is one I can remember off the top of my head mainly cause I'm there very often. I don't know if this meets the standards, though.

    PPO isnt BioDiesel!

Thats not BioDiesel then, its SVO, PPO or WVO.. ie Vegetable Oil. BioDiesel is chemically similar to Diesel and, if made correctly, works in virtually all Diesel vehicles with no modifications.

I think we have exposed a major issue with BioDiesels commercial viability. :D
