Best bet is to try to find someone on this forum who has owned/used a suunto watch and send them a pm (to get their attention). A quick search doesn't reveal too many previous references, but you could try scottreynolds who used to post here frequently and had a suunto for sale a while back.

    Buy a garmin ;)

I have had Suunto and Polar. The Garmin just works better. For cycling and running I'd get a 310XT .... but for just running you could also consider a 405CX.

Ridiculous price. €231 delivered from Amazon.co.uk
€190 delivered from ebay.com, including HRM (that's €228 if you get stung for VAT).

I think I'll just add the above to my signature. I can't understand why people won't check prices against amazon or ebay.

And you're absolutely right to do that. But you should also be prudent and check online. :)

Elvis would you consider a garmin 305? I love mine and two of my mates "upgraded" to the 405 cx and were very disappointed. The 305 can be picked up for €185 on eBay or amazon (forget which)

I've a Suunto T3c, just use it as a hrm. Works well I think, the training effect is useful.
I've used it running and biking. Tempted to get a footpod but not sure how good they are.
