I'm just putting this request out there on the off chance...

I work for a charity and am about to open a small community centre in Dublin. Most of our community programmes involve a cuppa so I'd like to be able to serve a decent cup of coffee.

I've been looking into a basic catering style filter machine, but they are a bit more expensive than we had budgeted for. Is there anyone who can help at all?

Happy to give more details if you PM me.

    Thanks!

Do you have any budget at all? If so you might pick something up on the cheap on Adverts, fount this first time looking. Also a few grinders for sale there.

    Call 1800 626 2200

You could get one of these FREE OF CHARGE so long as you buy the Coffee from the same company who supply the equipment.

    Something like this.

Fire off an email to some of the large Dublin based suppliers and ask if they'd like to sponser this aspect of the project or even make a gesture. Explain the situation and offer some advertising at the centre, even point them to this thread if you wish. Nothing ventured etc...

Let me know if you want me to suggest some suppliers and I'll bang you off a PM.

Thanks Mr M. I've been in contact with one of the big Dublin roasters, but their quote made me think I have been a bit too subtle in my request.

Would appreciate any suggestions you may have.

    Cheers!

What about picking up a french press. Should not cost too much in the likes of TK Maxx. I have an old blade grinder somewhere that your welcome to. Would make a perfectly nice coffee with that set up. Would at least get you going fairly cheaply. Only thing might be if you were catering to big numbers may not work. Anyway, let me know if you want the grinder.
