Guitarist - Tuam area

I'm a novice guitar player looking for some people to jam with and maybe start or join a band. I've been playing properly just a few months, after many years of frustration trying to learn the instrument, and I'm sort of making up for lost time. I'm very open minded about the type of music I'll play - there are tricks to be learned from every genre! Also I don't mind playing rhythm or lead, accoustic or electric.

Influences range from Leonard Cohen, Thin Lizzy, Guns n Roses, Oasis, Christy Moore, Eagles, Tracy Chapman, Willie Nelson, Snow Patrol.

Repertoire is a bit more limited than that, because I'm trying to nail a new technique with every song before moving on to the next one.

I've had a few PMs but nothing solid has come out of this so far. Just to expand on what I posted before:

Instruments Played: Accoustic and electric guitar. I've only been playing for a few months so I'm working hard on improving my skills. I don't mind vocals but I wouldn't picture myself as a lead singer.
Desired Genre(s): I'm open-minded - I listen to all sorts of music (see above) but I gravitate towards hard rock, brit indie and folk rock/country rock. I've written some songs and I'm open to doing covers as well.
Location: I'm based in Dunmore, 15 minutes drive from Tuam.
Age: I'm 37.
Available Sound Samples: I don't have anything online yet but I'll post something in a few days.
Additional Info: If you're looking for someone with a solid, smart, no bull attitude I can be a pro in that sense, though I'm married with a mortgage and a day job that I'm not planning to give up!
