Getting make up done in Dublin

Hi everyone, I'm looking for advice on getting make up done in Dublin. My friend in coming over from England for a wedding in Dublin (centre) and wants to get her make-up done on the day (she's only bringing hand luggage so isn't taking her own stuff). I've never had mine done in town so I need some advice. I know a lot of people go to the counters Brown Thomas to get theirs done - any idea how much this costs? Do you book or just turn up? Also what counters are the best? She quite pale and doesn't wear huge amounts of make-up, and I've heard MAC are a bit OTT. If she shouldn't go to Brown Thomas then where is the best place (not too expensive)?

    Really appreciate any replies!

    Cheers

I've always been happy leaving the Dior counter, after having my makeup done.
As far as I recall, its forty euro to have your makeup applied, but if you buy a product, then its free.

If you want, I can PM you names of some makeup artists I know personally, in dublin.

Thanks everyone, and if you've any more suggestions keep them coming. storminateacup it would be great if you could pm me that info, thanks.

Also one of my friends has mentioned that she has heard of people going to LA Academy just off Grafton Street. I'd never heard of it; has anybody had experience there?

Would 2nd Make Up Forever, Clarendon St.

Also would highly recomend Brown Sugar South William Street (they also do hair)

And finally would recomend Aine at the Benefit Counter in Debenhams Henry St :) - She's a genius!

I did a makeup course with LA, and I think they're pretty good! I've never had my makeup "professionaly" done with them though, but if its the tutors that do the makeup, I recommend Sarah-Jane.

    Hi,
I got make-up done at the mac counter in BT's last Friday for a wedding and it turned out to be really nice...it was €40, redeemable against products!:)
