Are there different sized F-Connectors?

Is there only the one size of F-connector on the market or is the different diameter connecotrs for the single cables (and old brown coaxial cables) compared with the new shotgun cabling - which appears to be a narrower diameter cable?

If so, how do you tell which one you are buying on Ebay etc?

    Cheers

    1) Shotgun cable is poor

    2) There are at least 4 sizes
RG59 size (smallest, should fit shotgun, often seen indoors on Cable TV)
    PF102 / WF102 /RG6 (regular size)
CT125/PF125 etc buryable / outdoor high grade cable. (large)
Trunk cable. Not sure on size. (very large)

    Larger cable may use N-type

Screw on f connectors which are the common ones usually come in 7mm (Most common) and 10mm sizes.

I bought a few rolls of RG6 cabling lately off different providors and I've noticed that it seems to vary slightly in diameter.
Some cable was narrower than others and it meant that the F connectors (6.5mm) werent a great fit.
RG6 cabling is supposed to be 7mm but some of the stuff I bought was 6.5mm despite it clearly being marketed and labelled as 7mm.
I even tried compression fitting F connectors but they werent a snug fit either as they are designed for 7mm cable.
Be careful with what you get .

Cheap cable is notorious for this kind of thing. When you buy low quality cheap cable it probably doesn't meet any of the "rg-6" specifications.

Some of it wasnt that cheap and was bought off a very reputable supplier so I was pretty pissed off.
Signal wise its decent enough but its just too narrow and was frustrating to work with as I had to put a huge tail of braid on it to make the f connector snug.

Very annoying! Was there a manufacturers name on the cable?
