the feel, and the screen is great. delighted i kept it and sold my 4Gs, although the 3Gs was pretty damn fine too :D

3's network problem is a bummer, but I can see it being fixed quite quickly. Certainly not considering paying O2 or VF their rates, the thieving barstewards........

Satisfied. o2's customer support is brilliant, their coverage is good. The phone is phenomenal.
    o2
No problems yet, but i'd say that will change when I get my first bill :/

The phone is great, my first iphone, 3G on 3 is intermittent atm but hoping it's fixed has been fine today

Got great value with 3 so I can live with it right now

So are you happy with the Iphone 4 ?
Yes, I'm very happy with my iPhone 4 - It's my first iPhone but I have had many other iDevices before it.
I think the camera and the video recording are exceptional in particular, got some very quality shots and recordings from it.

What network are you on ?
    Three

What problems if any have you had ?

Intermittent 3G coverage, not bad enough to switch networks but it can be a pain sometimes - It works in the majority of Dublin so that's the important thing I suppose.
Apart from that, voice and text services have been fantastic - quality is crisp and texts are delivered instantly. Threes customer care is also quality in my opinion and are very pleasant to deal with on the phone.

On o2, zero problems with the phone, i knew all that ****e over antenna gate was utter rubbish.

Was a big step up from the 3G but dont know if its as big from the 3GS.

    Definitely.

Moved from O2 to Vodafone. Haven't had any network issues.

Only problem is I have nobody to FaceTime with. :(

Yes, very satisfied with the phone.
On Three network, switched over from Vodafone about a week before I got the iPhone
No problems at all so far with coverage/reception. I don't know if it's the new phone or the new network, but I get much better reception now than I did with my Samsung on Vodafone! One bug I have noticed though is that if I am playing an album/playlist and it ends before I stop it, the phone stops responding (can't activate the screen no matter what I press). The work around is to plug it in either to a power source or a computer and it immediately snaps out of it (or just to make sure it is on repeat so that the music never ends until I press pause!)

would it be foolish to buy a iphone 3gs phone now, seem good value on three site, also for the question on 3's site would you like to avail of eu roaming rates? is that a good idea to say yes?

if you dont need all the features of the iphone 4, i would say yes. The 3gs is still an amazing phone.

    3.
No problems other than O2 won't let me leave! So I still have 2 phones for the moment.

I have no issues with 3's 3g network. Has been fine since I signed up on Friday.

This is just a sample of the comparison speeds. 3's 3g network is consistently faster where I have checked it vs. O2's network.

    Yes. Very happy.
I switched from o2 to three
I did have some trouble with 3g on first day but none since. I think it was to do with my number porting over. But since then it has been happy days.

    1 - Yes. Satisfied.
2 - Vodafone. (legacy business data plan, I think their move to 500MB cap in the near future is a joke. They are copying at&t without realizing there is no monopoly over here..).
3 - Coverage is worse in low signal areas than my 3GS.
Other than that it is exactly as expected. Retina display is nice but not a reason to upgrade.
The much improved camera, HD video recording, double ram and A4 processor are the reasons to upgrade. Battery life is about the same, if a little worse; not a shock as its pushing a lot more pixels.. Hardware design is very nice.

Since you have joined Vodafone before September, you will be eligible for the 2GB for the duration of your contract - provided you don't change plans.

Did notice the lack of E internet and wasn't getting 3G when driving along the M50 ( as a passenger ).

Someone mentioned they resolved this by turning on Data roaming, how does this work? Does it then use other providers signal? Would it not count as chargeable outside your bundle?

If that does work I better remember to turn it off again before I go to Belgium in 2 weeks, or Spain in 3 weeks, or Athens in 12 weeks, ok now i'm just boasting...:D

Very happy with mine. Upgraded from 3G version and this is much better, but it's not so much of a leap from the 3GS. If I had a 3GS I'd have waited for the next upgrade.

With O2 and happy with them, especially as they allow tethering from my 2GB allowance. I only tether occasionally so it's not worth my while buying a separate bundle for it. It's a deal clincher for me.

No issues. Tried the 'grip of death' yesterday to see if it affected signal strength and it did. But I've got a case and anyway, I'd never hold my phone like that normally so it would never be a problem.

    Yes Kevin, thanks, I know.
I'm not on an iPhone specific minute/data plan. Its a legacy business package with the ISP promo data add on. I've been with Voda for years.
My point was, for people signing up in future for the first time with the revised vodafone iPhone specific data plans, its a joke.

    I love mine.

I'm in the US on AT&T, pretty crappy.

I put a screen protector on and I bought a 99c clear plastic case off ebay.

    Yes, very happy

On Vodafone too! Was surprised they had stock so soon after release, got the phone on Wednesday from Henry Street, Dublin.

Being able to use your data allowance when roaming abroad is a big plus for Vodafone iPhone customers

    seriously?

the camera is fine on the iphone 4, this is coming from someone who has spent over 5k on camera equipment.

a mobile phone camera is not meant to replace your hand held camera. for most people it does as all the want is something quick and easy to take a snapshot. if you're looking for good results don't expect to see them from a mobile phone camera.
