Thats because one is for analogue and one is for DTT. B for Irish DTT from Mt Leinster.
If you are near enough a wideband will do both analogue and DTT. Where are you ?

TV3 is not on DTT at moment and probably not til October at the earliest.

No point in buying the A (analogue will be switched off in 2012, maybe)/No DTT.

The B will ideally give the best signal but DTT only.

The wideband will do both analogue and DTT.

    Choice. Wideband I would say.

So which aerial do I need for navan for dtt?
I see aerials in Homebase and B & Q so just need to tighten up the spec. being told by others that 3 rock is the location to beam to for reception here.

You'll need a wideband to receive analogue and digital from three rock on the one aerial. I don't know the area but it might be worth trying clermont carn, its group C/D. You'll get better gain with a grouped aerial!

Right, used an old uhf aerial and a booster. mounted all in attic and retuned analogue and Dvb and hey presto now have all digital irish channels and analogus rte 1.
My tv has freesat and free view, now I can see how much it has to offer with all these digital channels coming our way.
