i have an acer aspire 5810T for the past year.

got a dual grahics card one for long battery life other for more performance...

with the low graphics card i get around 8+ hours of word processing with mid brightness, 5+ with wifi on and browsing...

the "Performance graphics card isnt great but at the time i bought it could run games better than any other laptop for 600 quid and still have a long battery life

you should look around for something in the area of that...but alienware or macs is the only thing that comes to my mind right now for battery life + high performance

when it comes to laptops and gaming you wont be getting much battery life :( its pretty much one or the other battery or gaming kinda sucks to be honest but good mobile GPU's tend to draw a lot of power when they are being used fully i mean if i tried to play crysis on battery on my laptop id probably last about 20-30 mins. Most gaming laptops are generally intended to be desktop replacements that can be easily carried around except for the odd alienware that will cost you a small fortune to buy
