Best way to wax

Is home waxing better than professional waxing? I know professional is more expensive. Also how do you prevent ingrown hairs?

I have my waxing done professionally. I know I would be awful at doing it myself.
Ingrown hairs can be prevented by exfoliation.

Better results always depends on who is doing the waxing and the quality of the wax used. If you are going to a salon go based on a recommendation (in my experience anyway). I have been waxing for about five years and wouldn't go back to shaving. Over time my hairs have become lighter. I have, however, had to cut back on the professional waxing to save money but I still get a professional one done every few months or if I have a special occasion.

I now buy my wax from salon services (or there is a retail salon service shop in the square tallaght where you can buy professional wax) rather than the veet but I find the veet hot wax as good if you can get access to the salon shop- it's just a little more expensive.

If you are adamant to DIY I recommend that you first go to a professional to learn the gist of how it's done- or enrol in a waxing course (which I did and class it as an investment as I now save myself ALOT of money every month; as I am v.hairy and quite dark also).

Either way, if you learn to do it well, then you can eventually do it as good as in the salon (except maybe bikini ha ha).

Prevention of ingrown hairs: this is a mix between regular exfoliation/body brushing in between waxes and also is determined by how good a wax it is.

I wax myself and have no problems!! You need to exfoliate regularly and use nads wax with a de-sensitizing wipe, its a lot cheaper!
