I've a couple of music DVDs here that I want to rip to mp3 and was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent, free program that can extract the audio for me. I've had a google but not sure what programs to trust and the guides all look overly complicated for what seems like such a small task. Thanks!

MPEG Streamclip should be able to do it. (Although I've never used it to make an MP3, I'd say it's there as an option - worth checking)

In another thread about ripping audio from vob (dvd) files audacity was recommended, might be worth a look.

Thanks but turns out I don't need to do the hard work, audio and visuals have been uploaded to archive.org (the DVDs are under a Creative Commons license). Cheers everyone!
