Garda Clearance

    Hey all,

In a few months time with work I will have the option to accept a position in which I will require Garda clearance.

Thing is, a few years back I was caught with a small quantity of marajuana and had to attend court over it. The outcome was an in court cash fine, and afterwards, my solicitor told me that I would have no trouble applying for visa's etc to work abroad and that my slate was clean.

Thats all well and good, but im just wondering if the same goes for garda clearance. Like, i would prefer to not opt for the position if it meant an embarassment for me by the clearance not being granted.

Anyone have any thoughts on this that could help me?
