Do you know what you're getting?
    Lake Balls

Is it worth buying lake balls? The short answer is no because you don’t know how long they have been submerged. Tests have concluded that there is a steady deterioration in the performance of these balls the longer they have been under water. They go from drives of six yards less than the benchmark after 8 days to 15 yards less for balls that were submerged for 6 months.

These figures might not sound like much to you but you have no guarantee how long these balls have been in the lake before you buy them. Lake balls might be alright for practice balls or for complete beginners that are going to lose a few balls and don’t want to waste too much money on new balls.

Rest assured that the vast majority of lake balls haven't been in there too long. Most courses with good water hazards have organised divers to retrieve their stash on a regular basis - can be a nice little earner for some places.

I worked in a place as a teenager where they used to haul 1200 balls a month out of the hazards. Most had only been hit once or for a few holes at most.

Just got them to try, will no after a few rounds what it is like playing with them and its not going to cost me as much if I lose a few pro v1's in the process.
