And Environment Minister John Gormley has also banned camping and lighting of fires in Knocksink Woods, near Enniskerry in Co Wicklow, under new regulations signed into law last week.

As part of the same legislation banning quads and such

I can't say I mind this. The place is destroyed with the remnants of camping, full of rubbish. Everytime I pass through it, it's gotten worse, even though someone makes a good effort to clean it up, as it's always new crap left there each time.

Of course, whether this will have any effect is up in the air. Will they enforce it? If they will, how will they enforce it? What will the penatly be? Will it just move all the scumbags who were destroying the place up to Knockree, which is in an even worse state?
