I got a Iphone last year on Insurance after losing my other one on O2 contract

Would these be locked to a network does anyone know.

I don't have the pin to take out the sim and try another one!

O2 won't give me the unlock code for 2 weeks, that's how long it takes they said.

you can be sure its o2 locked,

you can request the sims puk code from the o2 website

puk code is asked for when you enter the pin wrong 3 times, youll then be able reset the pin number to whatever you want,

They say two weeks max, usually only takes hours/ a couple of days.

o2 will send you a text confirming that imei has been sent to Apple (took about a day in my case) then Apple will text you when they've done the unlock (arrived a few hours after O2 text). All you need to do then is insert a sim from another network and connect to iTunes.

Ok got a text from O2 sayign Apple have confirmed iphone IMEI xxxxxxxxx is set to unlock. To complete the unlock, connect the device to Itunes with a Sim never used in Iphone.

Is it this simple? I'm switching to 3 - so is it just put in a 3 sim connect it as normal to Itunes and Bob's your Aunty?

3 are taking forever to port...

When I put in my new 3 Sim I'm not getting any signal at all.

Must I connect it to Itunes before I do? Have no connector here at the minute so can't test it out!

    Thanks

Yeah just connect to iTunes and sync or restore if ya have no other sim. Go to a euro city or similar and get one of the car chargers for 2 euro. Ya can sync usin that cable
