Damn, i thought that special impact was 3 hours long. It should be!

Another thing, surely Flair's group Fortune should have 4 members? Since they keep making the '4 horsemen' sign?

I agree with Kaz being in the group; since he needs a mouth piece, Beer Money not so much, but it's alright, but definitely not AJ. He's been lumbered with Flair's halloween costume for long enough, he's his own man. Why isn't Jay Lethal in the group? He could really use the push.

Everything about AJ Styles screams out to me: babyface.

Flair's group does have four members. I'd hate if Lethal turned heel to join Fortune - it'd defy the point of everything they've done with him over the last three months.

I've always thought AJ is actually a pretty good heel in his own right but yeah, he's an awesome babyface - which is probably why Russo turned him heel. It's the same thing as Sting, it's as if Russo is trying to prove a point or something.

Correct me if Im wrong, but Flair as leader is not a member of sorts, like in the 4 Horsemen had JJ Dillon as leader, then the members were Flair, Tully, Ole and Arn Anderson. And it continued in such a manner as well I think.

I agree I was hoping he was turning face to feud with Flair's stable and Kaz

Styles has been ruined since he was put with Flair imo

Flair's stable Fortune is a complete rip off of Evolution both Beer Money and Styles dont need to be in it Kaz yes maybe someone like Morgan, Young or Brutus would be better in the group

    Ya, I don't count Flair as a member, more a manager/mouthpiece.

I think he can't 'swim' on his own gimmick or on the mic (when not impersonating someone else -- which is gold by the way!) so when his face run falls on it's face, i think joining flair would be good for him. Certainly better than the "Hogan cloak" he's currently wearing... You know TNA, there's never heels or faces but always shades of grey; it wouldn't be too amiss to have a face in a heel group, much like Sting in the MEM.

Oh, and isn't there also more members to come? Or is that it, 4 and done? (I haven't seen last week's iMPACT yet).

    Split from the TNA thread.

    Aren't
    Beer Money
    members now as well?

If so that makes for a nice little foursome tbh, with Flair as manager.

The name is f*cking sh*t though. Fortune? Makes it sound like they're fierce lucky or like gameshows or something.

Kazarian lost in 40 seconds to Rob Terry on impact. What an elite group

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

So is that it, or are there more members? I remember hearing on an iMPACT preview (before
    Beer Money
get in) that flair will bring in the next members of Fortune, not the final members?

I expected Wolfe and maybe Morgan also to be in but they seem to be out of favour with Flair now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

    Hmmmm! Kaz, Wolfe, Morgan, Lethal?

Although I think it's probably better to have a tag team in a group, so there's a possibility that every member can hold a belt.....although really the belts are not whored out in TNA, so u rarely get two singles holding the tag belts.

They need a female valet and they need to call her Miss-Fortune.:pac:

A **** I though this thread was about the Fortunate Sons Idea in WWE.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

I still maintain that Sons of Fortune is a better name. Although neither member appears in Call of Duty :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

There are now 6 members of Fortune. Why do they do the '4' finger thing? Or should i just be grateful that it's not the horsemen sign? :pac:

TNA love their heel factions, don't they!

I'm not sure if Morgan is an official member but rather a bodyguard of sorts. Some articles on TNAWresling.com are referring to them as Fourtune which obviously would imply four people.

And yeah, TNA can only seem to go so long without a heel stable. SEX, Team Canada, Planet Jarrett, Kings of Wrestling, Christians Coalition, Angle Alliance, The Band, The Beautiful People, World Elite, MEM, The Elite Guard, Serotonin, Disciples of the New Church, Triple X (though they were more a part of SEX for most of their stable run) and I'm probably forgetting some.

You're forgetting the best stable, British Invasion!

But actually I think stables and factions are good for wrestlers because it means they don't need a title and wont get lost in a shuffle, with more feud possibilities.

I consider The British Invasion as more of a sub-group of World Elite. They weren't a stable in their own right for very long.

God, i forgot about world elite! Damn, that's a lot of heel factions!

If someone joins Nash/Sting it'll be another heel faction lol

TNA stables confuse me. I have no idea what Main Event Mafia disolved, I have no idea why Wolrd Elite and/or Brit Invasion dissappeared. I miss a show or 2 and all of a sudden its all different.

Pity as I enjoy their in ring stuff.

    bark

MEM was disbanded because Booker left and Angle realised he was wrong about the young guys and turned face. World Elite was just completely dropped when Hogan and Bischoff came in, which I thought was unfair as it was a decent vehicle to give EY some credibility. God, EY's been the most messed around wrestler in TNA history.

Ya, but for such a major angle, surely there should have been a massive pay off. It just stopped. Almost all of a sudden. Daft.

Oh most definitely, and TNA have the perfect format to do so through Lethal Lockdown which is ideal for such stable vs. stable feuds. At the end of the day MEM achieved nothing.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Which is why it pissed me off so much. It could have done lots, like putting someone/few majorly over, and aside from that, it was just a good angle which shold have come to a conclusion.

TNA could've put any combination of Styles, Daniels, Joe, Beer Money, Lethal, LAX, Abyss or The Guns together to take down MEM over time but they never bothered and it's just one of the many, many lost opportunities in TNA history.

    Why wasnt Wolfe added?

Morgan in a suit and shades looks very wrong imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 171 ✭✭pudgeydev

Morgan looked awful in that suit alright. Plus it doesn't make sense for him to want to be a bodyguard after the whole "selfishness" stuff that he's done in the last few months.
There's no rhyme nor reason to it.

If it were up to me the Fortune stable would consist of
Ric Flair(Manager and Leader, like JJ Dillon)
    Desmond Wolf(New Nature Boy)
Beer Money(Arn and Ole Anderson or Minnesota Wrecking Crew)
    Kaz(Tully Blanchard)

AJ Styles could turn face and be replaced with Wolfe and Matt Morgan could just be an ally.

OK, but i have two demands
    1) Wolfe has to dress up like Ric Flair
    2) The stable's name is changes to Wolfe-Pack :pac:
