Time Limit on unlocking Iphone

Morning all - Thanks to a thread here on borads i was able to get out of my contract with O2 and requested that the phone be unlocked by Apple - i received a text saying that all i had to do was put in a sim card that had never been in the iphone and sync with Itunes - my question - is there a time limit on how long i have to do this ? Does it become cancelled if i dont sysc it up within a period of time ???

Was a few months before I did mine, but it still worked no problems.

Great to know.... Requested mine 3 months ago, all I need to do is put in a different sim. Shows how lazy I am.
