Just read through that article and the issue seems to be that Inprivate browsing was originally meant to be set as the default option but instead they changed it to an option you have to select each time you want to use it.

    simple fix:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dmart/archive/2009/04/22/enable-inprivate-filtering-by-default.aspx

pretty sure there's a reg file out there somewhere that will do the changes necessary when you import it (or you could write one yourself).

as for the anger of the article: OMG! Corporation prefers to make profit instead of protecting end users.Shock! Horror! Doesnt Chrome have a privacy mode that has to be "switched on" and is off by default? Pretty sure Firefox doesnt come with NoScript installed as default or with the privacy options turned on by default. Perhaps the article should be read as : of all the browsers only IE8s engineers actually wanted to put privacy first but business strategy had them overruled ?

You can also add '-private' to your shortcut for IE i recently read :)

    Target: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -private
