Foul language or explicit content.

I want to write on a subject that is serious, but would like to address it in an 'in your face' style (if i dare call it a style) to get attention to the subject matter in a way that a polite presentation might not. is it a mistake to be thinking like this. what do you think?

It totally depends on how you handle it.

Just be aware that using foul language may turn off a lot of readers, so you won't be able to bring your subject to their attention.

What's the subject, and how were you thinking of writing it?

The subject is sex and my intention would be to confront attitudes, guilt and the array of ways lives are affected.I also wish to draw parallels to other areas of life eg. career or business linking, satisfaction, fulfillment, frustration, attraction,enjoyment and pleasure. I don't intend to be crude or vulgar but possible mirror back terminology in, hopefully a humorous manner. Another e.g. a one night stand(quick fix) and compulsive shopping. get my drift.

Probably to encourage people to lighten up, move on from moralizing and judgment and present a 'case' for the libido as an energy force (Carl Jung) that when suppressed, has consequences for many other areas of life including relationships plus the benefits of honoring ones sexuality.
