3 Phoning to push the iPhone 4

As I am sure most here did, I registered for updates for info on the iPhone 4 on o2, voda, 3 and CPW.

Anyway, I had a call from a British number today and it was an Indian accented man on behalf of 3. He said I had registered my interest in the iPhone and if I gave him a couple of simple details he would put me on the right package and have the phone on the way. No "are you still interested?" or anything, trying to sign me up there and then. When I told him I didnt want the phone, he said something along the lines of "so now you dont want the phone?" and just hung up when I said yes, very presumptive, very pushy, and very rude imo.

Anyone else get a similar call from 3?

I don't know why you are so narky about the whole situation, you registered your interest and three being proactive they call you to see if you would like an iPhone - to which you have changed your mind about.

The lad probably has hundreds of telephone numbers to go through, you obviously had no interest so he moved on.

I think it was good that three rang you imo - considering the iPhone is a hard device to locate and they don't even have to try selling them.

It's just typical Irish. Three have just got a new phone on board, a brand new phone that obviously is going to have a couple of teething problems and people in general are just effing and blinding like fools. It's ridiculous.

They are either cutting edge or they aren't. If you're cutting edge, you put up with the teething problems.

Are you sure you're answering the OP? Seems to have gone off on a tangent.....:p

Anywhooo, the "cutting edge" part will surely attract the Android fanboys and Apple haters along shortly........:D

Who is narky? I am saying what happened giving what i thought of it. I too think it was good 3 rang me back, but i did not registyer to sign a contract the second they got back to me. I signed up for info on the iPhone. I could have been PAYG or a company account. I was asked neither, to direct route of the call was to immediately get me on a contract, and while I might have said no straight away, someone else could have been railroaded into it. For the record, before he tried to sign me up, he did not ask had I already gotten one, or was I even still interested.
And even if it is proactive and perhaps admirable to get back to me, the guy on the other end of the phone was still rude. Which was the jist of my post. He was pushy, and rude.

As regards the entrepeneur, I dont know what you read into my post, but you lost me.

When did become so criminal to criticise what I saw to be poor service?
