Hiya,

Perhaps you can shed some light on an issue I've had on and off for about 4 years. 30 year old house in NCD when we moved in we noticed a strong unpleasant smell. It reminds me of urine which as been there a long time.

I presumed it was the carpet so that was replaced and room very well aired. the room is right beside the hot press and has a radiator in it so presumably has pipes to the rad running under the floorboards. There is no smell in the hot press and smell only occurs sometimes and not only when the heat is on.

Any ideas what it might be?could it be heating related or perhaps it's rodents though we've only ever had one mouse and no noise in house of them.
