    Nothing has been announced at this stage and I haven't seen the position advertised yet.

    In the meantime Professor Hill and Professor Lennon seem to have it all pretty well in hand.

    Is it Luke Gibbons or do you have another new lecturer? I think there was a history lecturer from Galway who's moving to Maynooth...

    I've heard from an extremely reliable source that they have brought in someone from St. pats Drumcondra for the post iirc

    Luke moved over full time from Notre Dame last year, he is in the English department now

    The new Head of Department is Marian Lyons, who was acting Head of History at St Pat's Drumcondra for the past year. She is a medieval and early Modern historian and did her PhD in Maynooth a number of years ago under Colm Lennon. She will be a welcome addition to the department.

    Cheers wasn't sure if he was History or English.
