    can a traffic warden do you for being double parked o a styreet and in the car?

    I think so. They generally don't issue tickets when the car's occupied, but AFAIK that's just a courtesy - I wouldn't think it applies when someone's completely taking the p1ss.

    I dont believe they can. There is no offence of double parking.

    However, for Gardaí to issue, there is one for interfering with the flow of traffic, one for slowing the flow of traffic, one for blocking other motorists, dangerous parking etc etc etc.....

    Are they allowed to issue you a ticket if the car is occupied? Surely by definition an occupied car is not parked but stopped, and in the driver's control.

    (a similar way that you can be done for drink driving if you are at the wheel of a stopped car)

    I honestly don't know. The closest I came to it was returning to my car in Edinburgh to see a warden writing a ticket while my GF was in the car. Wasn't there a thread here recently started by someone who went for a nap in their car and woke up to a ticket?

    if you arent parked legally of course a Warden can ticket you. No differende whether single or double parked surely

    Surely if youre in the car and you see him approach or start to write out a ticket youd just drive off?!!
