    a chloisint - is this a dialectal variant of cloisteáil, I know that cluinstin is an Ulster variant with cluin as the root, or is it just a miss spelling

    I hear people with the Munster dialect saying it quite often. So I guess it's Munster Irish?

    ...in the same way that Munster people say a fheiscint instead of a fheiceáil etc.

    I know I'm risking coming across as pedantic but cluin is not a variant. It is a verb in itself recognised in An Caighdeán Oifigiúil.

    Feiscint is a variant of feiceáil.
