It wouldn't come too recommended, just cause of summer ques for the check in and security... we wouldn't want ya having to run to the gate now would we? :D

OP, Would it be a possible to check in online to save time?? online check in would be especially handy if you didnt have bags to check in...

    :pac:

Any chance of giving a bit more info ?

You can check in at the airport in Invern Co. Galway for a flight to the Aran Islands much less than 2hrs before the flight

But I,m not sure if that is the airport you are talking about

to be honest I would get there as soon as you can. They were queing at the check in desks when we went past. As far as I know the check in desks used to close about 30mins before the gate closed, so technically I suppose that if you were in the queue before this time they should check you in?

I guess what you need to ask yourself is how much would it matter if you missed the flight. I did it once and since then usually turn up a good hour and a half before when I'm not checking in any luggage.

Depends what time of day, what day of the week, what airline, what route, what the security guy had for breakfast, and not forgetting your star sign, as to if you get through the airport in a certain speed or not.

    OP

Your original post seems to imply that you are getting a bus or other form of public transport where the timetable is saying it will arrive at Dublin Airport 1 h 25m before your scheduled departure time .

In which case I would say , this is too close.

Consider this , lets say it's a bus..... it gets stuck in traffic and loses 15 mins ..... now it's 1 h 10 m , then you get to the a/port , you are dropped the other side of the carpark ( where the long distance buses drop ) ... 10 min walk to terminal.. now it's an hour .......

Goodness me there is a queue.

If there is an earlier bus I would suggest getting it.

Actually 1.25 is fine IF ( and only IF ) you are walking into the terminal at that time and you know you are going to be .

Dublin is not a big airport , the security is a little slow ( can be 20 mins on a bad day ) the queues for check in can be horrible , I was there last week and if you were checking in luggage for EI to Europe you would have been 40-50 mins in the queue because of huge groups of Spanish/French/Italian students.
