just received my Zagg shield in todays post, but also included in the post was the bumper i ordered from ebay until my Apple one arrives.

i took the protective covers of the phone for the first time since i opened it and the screen is so much more responsive and looks 100 times better in the true view instead of through the protective plastic.

so i stuck the bumper on ad that protects the edges while placing it down etc and doestnt look too intrusive imo

but i dont wana ruin the look and sleekness of the phone now by putting a shield on it :mad::mad: but im also worried about stuff banging off it or scraping it in my pocket or in a bag etc etc:mad:

i know, i know, i should seek professional help, like its only a bloody phone FFS but its my little baby.................for the moment anyhow :D

I think the phone just feels weird without the screen cover, the material used is just too quality! I know you are probably taking away from the experience, but it's worth it. When the next gen comes out, think of how much more you'll get for it in perfect nick!

It's just a phone, remember that. I find cases too obtrusive and they just add bulk. Cases and screen protectors are going to get scratched as well, so what's the difference. I think people forget that the phones are about functionality and not something for sitting and obsessively looking at! That's what we have women for :D

yeah exactly the reason to have them! if you didn't have the case or protector, the scratches would be on your phone.. Iphones are very expensive and that's why you should look after them!

True, but you can't deny they don't decrease its value!

Maybe, but I've never sold my old phones and I don't think wrapping it up and always being worried about what pocket or bag I carry it in is worth the hassle. I've already dropped my iphone 4 twice (they have zero grip so watch where you leave them sitting), and carry it in my pocket and there are no visible marks or scratches yet.

My first impression of the phone was that it was going to have absolutely no grip! luckily I'll have a cover on mine when it's headin for the floor! :)

I'm not sure, on both occasions mine just fell about 2 feet from a couch onto the wooden floor. If you look on macrumours you will see lots of photos of cracked screens, I think you need to have luck on the angle it hits the ground. I would imagine if it was unlucky enough to hit the ground at one of the front corners then it might crack and I don't think those apple bumpers or screen shields would help in this case.

i would imagine that the bumpers would take the brunt of the fall, especially if it fell on a corner.

update - ive installed the zagg cover front and back. waiting for it o dry properly before i re-fit the bumper as the edges will pop up as te bumper clicks into place.

will give it a few days and see how i get on with it.

Update guys, I'm having terrible trouble getting the bumper back on without destroying the zagg shield!

When the corners of the bumper click info place they pull up the edges of the shield.

I've tried everything but they keep getting pulled up so vie removed the bumper and am gona let the shield set in place over night and see if it sticks any better in the morning and will try the bumper again.

Just a little warning/notice to zagg users to becarful installing their bumpers when they arrive.

i removed the zagg shield
got fed up of constantly trying to push the corners down, so im just using the bumper.
